A Campaign to Encourage the Hospitality Community to Check in on their Mental Health.
We aim to get as many individuals to check in on their Mental Health and Wellbeing across the hospitality industry. The check in is done online via a Mental Health and Wellbeing Tool. It is super accessible, easy to use and fully confidential.
This is the second year of running the MOST COMPREHENSIVE REAL TIME ASSESSMENT OF THE MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING OF HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY STAFF.

Our Online Check in Tool is a free mental health check supplied by Performance Story & Psychologist Peta Slocombe to support people in understanding how they’re currently coping and provide suggestions for building resilience. The Check in is confidential, easy, accessible and provides individuals with a summary of what areas of their lives that may require a bit of attention/support in, as well as providing useful resources to support them in taking the steps to access support.
The Hospitality Industry, whilst being FUN, SOCIAL & EXCITING, can also be stressful, fast-paced, hard on bodies and minds and require individuals to constantly be “switched on” and give all of their energy to others despite what might be going on for them personally.
The Industry is definitely making improvements when it comes to more open conversation and awareness of Mental Health, however there is very little available in terms of actionable support systems. We want to change this.
We want to get as many individuals/teams/groups to check in throughout the week, become more aware of how they are traveling, have conversations about it and even share their results.
The more we share, the more we encourage others to do the same. Let’s CRUSH the stigma attached to talking about and acknowledging mental health!

We Would LOVE for you to get your teams involved in the Hospo Check in Week! All you need to do is click the button below to shoot us through an email with your name, name of your company/group/venue, some contact details and your company/group/venue logo so that we can share that your teams are getting behind this very bloody important campaign. We will then send you through a HOSPO CHECK IN PACK. This will include posters with QR codes to pop in the staff areas of your venues, tips on how to encourage your teams to get involved, as well as some more information on the Check In to share with your teams!
